Be scared, Indian WK batters. 😭 Yashasvi Jaiswal has entered the keeping department just to secure his white-ball spot. 🧤💀 https://t.co/3MiiCOihAE

VIDEO | Mumbai: India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has been working on wicketkeeping as a back-up skill to batting and leg-spin, revealed Mumbai captain Siddhesh Lad on Thursday. Ahead of the 2026-27 Ranji Trophy season, pictures have surfaced of Jaiswal putting hard yards on wicketkeeping. Jaiswal will be available for Mumbai's Ranji Trophy opener against Chandigarh starting at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. But he will not be available from the second game onwards because of his national commitments. "I think he is someone who started practising keeping wickets, because he feels he needs to add something more to his game because there is so much competition right now, I am not very sure on what his intentions are but right now he is practising a lot and I am sure that if he will keep practising he will get used to it," he told PTI.
